PS3 SIXAXIS Controller on PC

PS3 SIXAXIS Controller on PC...

1. Download and install the filter driver (libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.10.1.exe). (zip)
2. Unpack ps3sixaxis_en.exe (also on zip)
3. Plug the SIXAXIS into your PC. (USB)
4. Run ps3sixaxis_en.exe once.
5. Push the PS button on the SIXAXIS once if it doesn't see it straight away. (You may need to unplug controller and go back to #3 if it doesn't work.)

Open .zip file with a program like WinRAR, WinZip, or 7zip.

Put these files in a folder

Run 'libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.10.1.exe', no need to run test program.

Run 'ps3sixaxis_en.exe'. It will close nearly immediately after you open it. This is normal, in fact if it doesn't close then you opened it up with a CMD prompt.

7..Press the PS (Home) button again, making sure the four lights on top are blinking.

Go to the Control Panel and open up game controllers.

If it looks like this, remove the USB cord from your computer and go back to step 4.

If it looks like this, then you're good to keep going on.

If you hold the PS/Home key and it looks like this, you're done. If not, unplug controller from USB port and go back to step 4.

Purpose:
Setup controller in an emulator/PC game. (I will use ZSNES Emulator as an example, but I have used it on PSX Emus, PS2 Emus, Nestopia, VBA, and Project64.)

Open input.

Hit set keys button with mouse.

Hit the keys on your PS3 SIXAXIS Controller that you want to use for the emulator. The keys shown are the ones I prefer.

Play your game.

FAQs (From other boards)
Q:Only one number is blinking and I can't do anything on my computer with controller!!
A:Turn off your PS3.

Q:Does the controllers motion work?
A:No, not yet.

Q:Mac support?
A:From things I have read, yes. I have no idea exactly how to run it on a mac, because I do not own one myself. Any info on this would be helpful.

Q:This whole guide hasn't worked, I've unplugged and replugged so many times I've lost count.
A:Seeing as I did not make this program, I have no idea why this happens (happens to me from time to time), but try either one or both of these-- A3 is ALWAYS needed after you plug the controller in.
A1:Uninstall then reinstall 'libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.10.1.exe'
A2:Restart computer.
A3:Run 'ps3sixaxis_en.exe'.
